Industry Night at The Mantle...17.6.09



Here I am...my last night of my 18 month Cookery Course...Certificate III Commercial Cookery

and tonight I am in the Dining Room.


It is an Industry Night...Employers of the Apprentices in the class are invited to The Mantle Restaurant (The Training Restaurant at the College) to see...and partake in the food...that their Employees have cooked up for this very important evening...


I am in the Non Trade part of the course...meaning I am not an Apprentice...


Here on this Post I will take you through the evening...


A lovely arrangement of beautiful Australian Wildflowers was the backdrop for the evening...

Oyster Osaka

Smoked Trout on Crispy Wonton

Cucumber with Dill, Garlic and Tomato

Roast Pumpkin, Potato and Rosemary Frittata

Smoked Salmon on Blini


Served with an Aperitif on arrival...

which was Sir James Pinot Noir Chardonnay Cuvee Brut NV


Blue Eyed Cod wrapped in Prosciutto with Parsnip Crush...

Barbeque Duck on Potato Salad, Mixed Leaves and Sweet Wasabi Dressing
served with Wild Oats Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2008



White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Mousse


Persian Pistachio Cake with Spiced Pear and Orange Compte

Served with Baily & Baily Queen Bee Sticky!!!



And more temptation...Petit Fours alongside Tea and Coffee!!!


The evening was a huge success and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself at this Course!!!
